A Letter From Roddy
It is with sad news to inform you that I have parted ways with the city of Burlington and The Valley golf course. I really enjoyed my time there and especially enjoyed working with Fred Ireland, The Valley Golf Course Manager. I am confident that the Grow Golf Now program will continue on in the future and become even better.
For me, it has always been about growing the game of golf by teaching students at different levels. As I continued to work more and more behind the counter at the Valley golf course, I felt this was not the best use of my talents to grow this great game.
I am excited to announce that I will be teaching at The Elon Golf Facilities full time this summer. I am excited to work closely with Coach Don Hill and his staff. My focus will be building the best camps and learning opportunities for the students of our community. So please share this communication with other families and friends because we are going to doing some very special things at The Elon Golf Facilities!

Listed below will be my first introductory camp for kids ages 6-14. This three day camp will be held at The Elon Golf Facilities.

Please show up 15 minutes early for registration. Here are some itinerary items of what to expect during the camp

Tour of the Elon Indoor Golf Teaching Center and locker rooms. Educate how we use these facilities to better our college student athletes into becoming elite players

Proper techniques in stretching and how to loosen muscles before practice

Fundamentals of setup position
-
Use of training aids to improve takeaway positions on the backswing
-
Use of training devices for downswing plane
-
Understanding of where impact takes place (low point of arc)
-
Basic chipping and pitching drills and fundamentals
-
Fun and competitive games each day

All done in a safe environment

Bathrooms located steps away!
